Cette compilation retrace la collaborations d'un des meilleurs duos que le
folk-blues est connu : Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee. Sonny était à
l'harmonica et Brownie assurait le chant et la guitare acoustique. Rien de
plus mais bien assez pour nous faire accéder au bonheur musicale.
Sonny Terry, aveugle depuis ses 12 ans, était un harmoniciste d'exception,
capable de jouer dans de nombreux registres. Un parfait complément à la
voix chaude et puissante de Brownie. Ce dernier était également un très bon
guitariste possédant un jeu très fluide. De ce duo a émerger de grands
titres tels Walk On, Lost John ou I'm A Stranger Here. Du côté des
reprises, leur interprétation de Down By The Riverside est vraiment
excellente!
